26 She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: 29 “Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all.” 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:26-31
As we celebrate Mother's Day, let us remember the moms and grandmothers who have been Proverbs 31 women to us. We may not have had Godly matriarchs in our lives, but have been blessed with Godly aunts or mentors who have been instrumental in our lives. How many prayers have been said on our behalf? How many tears have been shed on our behalf? How many battles have been fought on our behalf that we are not even aware of? How much joy have we brought to the lives of our moms and grandmothers just because we love them? As a mom and grandmother myself, I realize that there is no greater joy that seeing our children and grandchildren grow up. It happens way too quickly. Cherish the moments. Pray without ceasing for your family. They need our prayer covering all the days we are alive. Happy Mother's Day Dear Ones!
